Kim, I had the same thought about ole Birdsh*t myself, see some of the other posts from Guest! He rarely has anything positive to say. I can say that I have had great service from all folks on the board- Banjo, Tell, James to name a few. Cal Yep, same here! Oh and I should definitely mention redwoodrocks. ;D.. Always treated me good and sends excellent rock. Jimmy

I don't think guests should be allowed to post. They should just be able to read the posts. This guy must work for Richardson's. Banjo gets your order to you almost before you order it! Trish

Banjo Rocks! He is very honest, fair and lightening fast delivery! I love the way he wraps each rock and labels them. No other company I have ever ordered rough from does that! They usually just dump them in the box and mail them. He along with the Gem Shop and The Rock Shed are my suppliers of great rough!!!

i just got to add my 2 cents worth here...
everyone that i've ever got rock in here (from this site) from has been EXCELLENT. you won't find a more generous and caring group than the folks in here.
i've had good to middling luck with the Rock Shed, Mammas Minerals and Kingsley North and i am wondering if DAH Rockshop does mail order(?).
guests that try to start and feed flames ought to be ignored. i love the analogy about the bug under the rock, it SO fits.

Hi, Just checking out this site to see what is out there and noticed your post. We are www.rocksnpots.com and have some of the best prices. We have flat rate shipping in the US, $7.50 any sized order. We have some excellent tumbling mix, and tons of other material on our website, with on line ordering. We ship two or three times a week, tracked and insured. We would be pleased to help with any of your lapidary needs. Thanks, Garth

I have used you, Garth. You are indeed a fine place to get rocks, but whats with the pots?? I think we have a mutual friend in Shain Mayer who told me about you when I needed some saw blades. I have also won a few auctions. I am looking for stuff a little more out of the ordinary. I just made some nice pieces from some Tiffany Opal, and if you had any with more red, that would be cool or some Turkish Jade, or Pietersite. Keep in touch, IM me if you want to swap links. www.banjo-creek.comThanks!! -Banjo

Thanks Banjo ;D . We have some very unusual rough, in particular new silver crown psilomelane pages, some in tumbling/grinding size. On the pots: My wife is a traditional south western potter, hand coiled, hand painted. Since we started the lapidary side she hasn't had a lot of time to produce pots, but eventually we will have several pages of he work . We don't have a links page as of yet, but when we do we will definitely add your site. Thanks, Garth

Well, for some reason this guest seems to have it in for banjo and I dont know why. I ordered from him and had my rocks in just a couple days. Now I just need more tumblers to tumble it all........LOL.........and then I need more rocks..........and then I need more tumblers......lol......uh oh, I think I'm addicted.

I agree with you Kim! I just won some rocks on ebay from Cal. I can't wait to get them and just look at them. My problem is some of these bigger pieces are just too beautiful to bust or slab up...so I just look at them and hold them from time to time...what a delima! I have gotten some really beautiful big rocks from Banjo. Those too will probably just sit there in all their beauty! Sometimes I think I'm in love with collecting them along with my sea shells...LOL! ;D

I like Banjo's rocks! (that doesn't sound quite right... ) and sometimes he DOES get them to you before you order them (that's how fast he is, Guest/Pest). I also have had good luck with Rocksnpots and The Gem Shop (just got some pretty Bruneau scraps from them). There are great eBayers out there, as well. Got some nice slabs from Chimingrock on eBay. But, Banjo rocks rock. ;D S

Banjos rocks get to you so quickly it is like he has em on the way before you decide to purchase- My order with him was waiting for me before I even got his confirming e-mail! Oh and the way they are packaged is awesome- And Banjos scales are a bit off- I think I ordered like a pound of rough for tumbling- and I'll be danged if I weighed it when it came in and Either Banjo's scale is messed up or the rock put on a half pound in shipping (himm wonder what rock eats on the trip)
