Hi all. I came across a really heavy duty 2 station arbor a while back and have been thinking of building them. I know the companies that still build them have high prices and this one would be "spendy" too as it is heavy duty with pillow block bearings (easily serviced). I am not sure how much of a market there would be for 2 station or 4 station arbors. Opinions?

I have to agree with Tim, since I got the deal on the used genie I haven't touched the 2 wheelers and will probably sell all but one that I'll save for specialty stuff.

In the evolution of my shop and my abilities, I would like to have a two wheel arbor (both ends equipped with 8" expandos for use with diamond belts. I have a good array of hard and nova wheels, but not the entire spectrum beyond 3000 yet, thus have a two wheel expand arbor that would allow me to walk on up to 50,000 with diamond belts would meet my needs better than having additional soft wheels. Would I spend a lot of money - well, I'd rather buy a used unit when I find one. But from an optimal point of view, I'd have a two wheeled arbor in any lapidary setup.

FYI I recently bought a 4-wheel set up, the Lortone Beaver. If I needed 8 I would be perfectly happy adding another 4-wheel unit.

Thanks, pretty much what I expected to hear. I actually had this arbor on the table and decided not to sell it. I just sold my Genie but had planned on putting all six wheels back on the Genie (had 4 on, last two on extra shaft adapter) to use for cabbing and the arbor with an 8" BD brazed wheel and an expando for my fossil work.
