Is the gasket coming loose from the lid or is it simply deteriorating?

I had my liner get thin. Lowes sells grey plastic sheeting used with PVC applications. It's in that area and sold by the foot, 3 feet wide. Used the metal lid as a template and made my own. A couple bucks. So far about 6 months of tumbling with no sign of wore. When it does wear out I have More material to make more. Worth a try.

Thanks everyone for replying! I bought a replacement form the rock shed and it lasted only a month before it started thinning out on the edges/ lip of the bowl area and started leaking. I then ordered Sponge Neoprene With Adhesive 1/8" Thick X 54" Wide X 1' from amazon and cut it to size. Worked great for a week or so then totally deteriorated in the same area. Maybe Im doing something wrong? Thanks again for the responses! btw- Im out in Montauk New York love to hear if anyone else is around here :-)
