Attention chemists: I just awoke from a dream where I was adding Epsom Salt (Magnesium sulfate MgSO4+7H2O) to my slab saw mineral oil. Was that a good dream or a nightmare?

Being it is insoluble in oil it is just going to stay as is separate from the oil.
There is a product called magnesium oil, which is rather misleading as it is not an oil at all. It is simply a magnesium chloride solution used for some health issues. Maybe you saw that name and this triggered the dream.

We have discovered an excellent weed and grass killer - Epsom salt, vinegar, and dawn soap. If more people found out about this amazing mixture we could put Monsanto out of business

What is the best mixture amounts?

What is the best mixture amounts? Applying borax is supposed to prevent anything from ever growing again. I've tried that in a small area with a box of laundry borax. It "kind of worked." But grass is peeking up in the area again. I plan on giving it a major test, but can't find it in 50 pound bags. Best quantity I have found - Amazon.com has it in 10 pound bags.

I just had an interview for 'chemical mixer' for a large manufacturing company that make a laminate for P.C boards and such.
Basically the job was mixing chemicals from 55 gallon drums into a a large kettles (like brewing beer ) and mixing the quantities for a best batch yet. The results is a solution (or epoxy) that then is pressed and rolled out as high thermal thin tape, to exacting measurements, that adhere to P.C boards. Well this is my understanding from the short interview & tour of the plant. Really amazing stuff.
Obviously my ears perked up about high thermal epoxy as I explained to the interviewer about my lapidary hobby and interest in epoxy for adhering rock’n hearts together.
Good luck Tommy with the board. Its going to work out great!
Rock on

We just pull our weeds. Roundup does not kill the soil. It kills most growing plants but degrades in a short time. With Roundup you can replant within a few days of application.

Roundup is inactive when it hits the soil, It has to contact the green growing areas of plants to be effective, have used it for years with good results,
