From time to time a thread will pop up with ideas for displaying rocks and stuff. Keep thinking I should take a few pictures but never get it done. Well, I was getting ready to take some stuff down to get it packed and thought to take a couple of pictures. I guess this is the "wood wall". The lower shelf is all just small pieces we've found around here. Please excuse the dust, it's been a long winter and these shelves are about four feet from the wood stove. Spring cleaning time!
Our local wood is nothing spectacular, mostly shades of brown, grey, black. We think it's cool, though.
The larger piece on the left was with my Father in laws stuff and we don't have any idea where it is from. We expect he bought it
in Quarztsite sometime in the '90's. The limb cast to the right of it is from Oregon somewhere, Cyndi got it for her Dad for Christmas
or something. The rest is just Bighorn Basin pet wood.
Hadn't noticed until looking at the photos but the pictures aren't straight, either. Oh well, it's all down and packed now.
