Been a while since I've posted anything, but here a few from the past couple weeks. Chrysocolla quartz nice lil agate An idontknowite. It's a bit soft. You can see a spot on the upper left that flaked off on the final polish wheel, which then began to undercut. I may make another run at it. dino bone my first dendritic opal. definitely not my last. lacy yellow, red and hematite agate Thanks for looking. matt

Very nice! The dendritic opal is sweet but the agate steals the show. I am curious about your "idon'tknowit". I have some as well and idea what it is lol

Beautiful cabs! I like the pillow shape you're mostly using.

Nice material and shine. My favorites are the idontknowit and the Dino bone. Like the shape you are using.

Beautiful! You've got some nice material there. I always love to see the dendritic opalite, so that's my vote for fav.

Could the don't knowite be Ricolite, a variety of serpentine?
Thanks for the fine show!

Love the little white agate, and the Idon'tknowite. It looks a lot like a rock that is being sold on ebay by one of those Utah sellers - can't remember name - now I want some!

Pat, I was thinking riccolite, too. I had some once and gave it away because I wasn't keen on it at the time. Now, I wish I hadn't. I understand it's fairly rare now, too.

I don't think it's ricolite. Every pic of that I have seen, it is green. This stuff is largely gray and black. I got it in a box off EBay -- most of the pieces are really thin, maybe 3-4 mm. Only a couple slabs and slabbettes are 6-7 mm. It looks like what one Utah seller calls "strata jasper." A made up name, to be sure.
