Just wanted to write an "official" comment on Walrus's leather medicine bags. Wow! Wow! and another Wow!! Not only is the bag I received a real treat to my eyes, the craftsmanship is superb!! A great custom crafted Buffalo leather bag that I already have some sage and a few other favorite items in. Thanks again, Walrus, you did a great job and it will be cherished for many years to come!! heres a quick link to some photos of mine, a little disorganized but its an idea of some stuff. pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/walrusleather/album?.dir=ab06&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/walrusleather/my_photosheres my photobucket page photobucket.com/albums/a5/walrusleather/i still have about 50 to 60 lbs of aventurine left, i bought out a shop here, passing it on at the .95 a lb i paid plus shipping and paypal fee. $7.70 ships up to about 25 to 27 lbs in a box. dont have anymore slabbed yet, been so tired with the cancer treatments and hypothyroid shock. cant even get my drop saw running. i do mostly custom and one of a kinds, I am an artist in stone, leather, food and ice. as well as anything else that strikes me as something fun to play with. i do a lot of pirate and rennaisance shows, sca and recreator work as well as horse tack repair / custom stuff. so what i have depends on what shows i have coming up, except of course for the gems,, always have rocks rumbling in my head somewhere. uhh my parents were big 1960s hippies,, LOL i dunno product of the 70s and 80s? its like my uncle says when he carves something outof wood, if you are making a duck,, first you get a block of wood then you remove everything that doesnt look like a duck, and there you have it.
i start with a pile of beads, a rum and coke and some leather, and go from there. sometimes it looks phenom, sometimes it ends up on a sale table at swap meets.
same with stones and cabs and such, some freeforms turn out so well i have a hard time parting with them, (and dont) , sometimes i just tumble them with other rocks.

a little slow on some day,, somuch better.. we have a bit of garbage down in the lawn here,, no big branches but a lot of smaller stuff. a few trees down down the road. i didnt lose power this time, not bad though.
i did a lot of smallworks whilst sedentary. couldnt get into much larger stuff. getting more into the swing of things now though. november is gonna kill me.
