When you say "rotator" , do you mean the barrel or the shaft the barrels roll on ?

Is this a used tumbler ? Did you oil the bearings ? They may need to be replaced if they are wore . I don't remember if the shafts on that one have a rubber cover over them . If so , try roughing it up a bit with sand paper .

Hi Avery,
I think you're going to have to be a bit more descriptive of what your problem is...well, at least for me.
You say one barrel seems to turn normally on your tumbler. Is that right? Then the problem occurs when the second barrel is added if I am understanding you correctly. What happens when you add the second barrel? Does the first one continue to turn normally, and the second one only turns occasionally? Or, do both barrels only turn occasionally?
If it is just the one barrel that is not turning (when both are on the tumbler), that section of the shafts or the barrel itself may need to be cleaned or scuffed up a bit with sandpaper. Sometimes the shaft will get oil on it, or the barrel will get too smooth, and it starts to slip. Clean both areas and see if that doesn't take care of your problem.
If it is both barrels that aren't turning at the same time, it may be that the belt on the motor is slipping when the additional weight is added. Loosen the motor mount nuts, tighten the belt by moving the motor, and then try again. Start with that. If that doesn't work, it could be a lubrication problem as noted above, or it could be that the motor is getting a bit tired and may need replacing. Hope this helps.

Only one shaft is driven on the 33B, the other shaft rotates freely. When the barrel sits on the rollers they both should spin. Try roughing up the sleeve over the roller, like Wigglin said. Maybe the barrel is just slipping on that free shaft.

If you do need to replace the bearings , try here . therockshed.com/Any lube is better than no lube but I think they recommend a 20w oil for the bearings
