That's really, really nice. I have yet to work with Dino bone but would like to. Great shape choice.

Do you think that fortification pocket was a source of arthritis back in the day?

Neato! That one really looks like a fossilized bone, unlike some of the other dinos we cut. I like it.

Nice dino bone...Usually most browns don't "POP" like that one does! Two thumbs up... This cabochon came from the 34 lb bone we bought in Utah last summer. I was able to get a few slices off the small end - wasn't easy - it stopped my saw a few times - need to replace or tighten the motor belt. I think it's what they call "spiderweb" dino bone - the cells are very transparent and highly agatized. The fact that it's brown is a major disappointment but if I ever get back to cutting it I can see a tendency towards red in a few ares - and the fortification agate will hopefully continue. We emerged carrying a 34 lb dinosaur bone which we shot them an offer for literally pennies on the dollar and they happily accepted. Yes they knew what it was - it had been part of a "not for sale" museum of sorts which had fallen to ruin a long time ago. It's too large for my 18" saw but shows tantalizing cell structure the whole length. Could turn out to be a complete dud - it wouldn't be the first time I bought a dud dino bone but it was worth the risk.
