Hey folks, looking for some help on the ID of this piece I found the other day. It was in a pile of gravel at work. I haven't had much time to test it. All I can say is my knife would not scratch it. I only rinsed off the crusty dirt in a puddle, so this is exactly as found. I'm thinking some sort of slag because of the bubbles. Thanks for any insight.

Did a little digging and it looks similar to silicon metal slag....
I wonder how it'll polish. 😁

found some material like this without the pits, turned out it was used as a weight on some kind of old equipment.

Metalic luster, and bubbles do make me think of slag as well. What is the hardness? What is the Specific Gravity? does it feel much heavier than a regular piece of sandstone or quartz?
