Looks like ground walnut shells or corn cobs for brass polishing . The UV 10 pictured is the light duty , for brass polishing .

My guess would be corn cob too. I use it to polish Petoskey stones.

I guess you could put a polished Petoskey stone in it and see how it looks after tumbling for a couple of days. I have batches charged with 500, 1000, and polish and it all looks identical. Corn cob media is really inexpensive, so I wouldn't go to any trouble to figure it out.

The corn cob media I have is more of a lite brown. That looks like it is very lite green. Maybe color blind. Older shell cases were copper, could be why it's green. Oxidation.

Do the pieces have definite shapes? There are many types of metal finishing media out there. Color coded for abrasive type. Look up vibratory tumbling media or metal finishing media. White is usually polish and you add the polish to it.

I use that type media and have since I started. I get it free. Machine shops throw it out when it gets small because it gets 1/2" parallelograms but all of them are AO.
