Howdy folks, have a pile of Rio grande stuff that, to me, looks substandard so I don't put it in the for sale piles. From time to time I cut a few just cause I like to see what's on the insides. Some turn out to be total duds but some are kind of interesting so I'll post a few pics. Thanks for lookin...Mel This one tried to become Rio grande poppy but did not make it. Solid jasper agate but, to me, kind of ehh. This one is composed of tiny close packed orbs but came out looking like brightly colored jasper. Finally, this one was a surprise. Might have been plume cut the other way but no way to vice it up that direction.

I really like that last one. Would love to cut the Rios longways, but it is pretty iffy to get a good vise grip on most of them. And when ya can, blade deflection becomes a concern.
