Can the Hawk Eye (Blue) Tiger Eye change color when it is heated - like Yellow Tiger Eye changing to red under heat, or is the psudomorph of the crocidolite by the quartz necessary?

It should turn red as well because the color change is due to alteration of the iron in the stone.

It should turn red as well because the color change is due to alteration of the iron in the stone. May turn yellow like citrine or green like prasiolite. I have a blue granite countertop. The edges turned yellow under the heat of rounding.

Thank you for the info! I was just curious after being asked the same question by my Son and could not find the answer after a web search, or from other posts. He swooped down on my first tumble batch (Lortone 3A) which had a few Tiger Eyes - both Blue and yellow - and ran off with all of them! To get even I went out and purchased (Amazon) a Lortone QT66 and some AAA grade Golden Tiger Eye to enjoy myself (after a month of tumbling +/- of course). That will teach him! LOL! Giving my kids all of those purdy shinies is part of the fun for me. Thanks again!
