This is a screen shot of Massachusetts for the last 7 days. MA chosen because it was #2 state in views for last 7 days. And one of the viewers made a purchase. My website is not close to being SEO optimized. Most of these views are being funneled from my Etsy shop. Except my home state of Georgia(22 sessions), because it gets found by local Google activity. This is simple stuff. I had 7 sessions. From 4 people(new users). The person in Billerica is named Pam. She bought a fire pit so I communicated w/her. Note that Pam Looked at my site 4 times(4 sessions, 1 new user) Her 'average session duration' was 5 minutes 2 seconds. There is a 25% bounce meaning she really only had 3 sessions. One of the sessions she spent almost zero time. Say she clicked by quickly. She looked at an average of 2.5 pages per session. So she spent 15 minutes 'shopping'. The other best view was from Boston. They looked at the site once. For 1:48 minutes, 2 pages. They were probably not too interested. The Needham viewer looked at 2 pages for a total of 50 seconds. The Wilmington viewer looked at 2 pages for 8 seconds Conclude they had no interest.

This is the G. Analytics map of US views 7 days, darker blue = states w/most views. Mass #2, Georgia #1. Great info, where is your website being seen ? Scroll under map and look at details state by state. Georgia is my home so local Google puts the website out there more than other states. Note there was 22 sessions and only 16 viewers. That means that 22-16=6 people looked at the website more than once. This is good. They looked at 5.5 pages per session on average. that is good. Average session was 1:12 minutes. OK, Georgia spent some serious time on the website. Lets look closer at Georgia: In a flash, Roswell, Smyrna and Marietta each had a viewer that spent time looking in terms of pages/session and session duration. This is good. Decatur had 7 sessions by 4 people. This looks great, 7-4=3 people returned to look at the site. But, the session durations were only 30 seconds. Somehow an ad misdirected these people to my site just guessing. 30 second session durations are not shoppers. Note that the 'goal conversion rate' is all zeros. This website funnels the purchases to Etsy. So no products were converted(sold) thru the website.

Look back 2 weeks and see where viewers are coming from And detailed info on these viewers This website is terrible in terms of views. Only averages 15 views per day. It's SEO is just now being looked at thru/using Google Analytics. However, in the two week look back quite a few of the Etsy purchases have come the towns listed in the states above. Meaning they are seeing the website on Etsy and checking it out. Leaving a trail that can be found from Etsy purchaser's addresses.
