Well, just got nine pounds of Sweetwater Agate from this E-Bay seller. Been looking for some more of this material for awhile and was pretty excited to get some. Guess it's been too long since I hunted some on my own. This newer material is pretty disappointing. No misrepresentation because it pretty much matches the pictures ( except for the polished material pics which were very dendritic!) and is Sweetwater Agate and was not billed as Sweetwater "Dendritic" Agate but it appears much of the weight of the lot is made up of what we always used to discard, the non dendritic stuff. Since many are transparent or translucent, we always used to high grade the material before taking it but probably now days it's getting scarce like most other good materials. Anyway, pretty high priced for pretty mediocre material. If any of you might be thinking of bidding on some in the future keep this in mind...mel

KD: Sweetwaters really don't look like much in a pic, just rough gray to brown nodules. We always used to hold them up to the sun or a light to see which ones had dendrites and were worth keeping. Those that were just clear or brown, gray etc with no dendrites we just discarded. Maybe twenty percent of these have exteriors I can't see through and I'm hoping some of them have nice dendrites. I'll tumble them and post a pic when they are done...mel
