Great Machine. Not everybody has the tractor to move around something like that. Now, I want to see the rock you run in it. What a beast!

I would not be without my old tractor, I use it as aa crane more than anything else. A 36 inch lap with the overhead sweep install will really not do anything to big but can do what I have to do mostly. some pieces will still get done by hand. I hope to get this ting running in a day or so. The flat lap cost me more than the tractor did!

I've seen the 48 inch ones Joe Cota has down south, wish I had the room and the money for one of those.

There's a 9 foot one at Rufus, OR where that rock shop/museum is/was. The table was originally a round saw blade. I haven't heard much since the old guy passed on. His son or nephew was trying to re-open it, fun place to see.

You always have the room and if you don't spend your money rocks, it will just get spent on something else. The last quote I heard for a 48 inch one was north of 9000. too much for my blood. Buddy in southern ca built a 6 footer.

Hope you don't mind a couple questions woodman . How does the lap plate attach to the rim? How is the rim mounted so it can spin freely? I would make the room! ETA: when you get her running, would be interested in the plate RPM and the rpm of the ... what is the official name of the turn style thing on the top? ... <-- that thing. Does the top spinner thing go the same direction as the lap plate or opposite?

Does the top spinner thing go the same direction as the lap plate or opposite? The 1/4" plate just sits on the rim. On the rim you can see a tab that has been welded on the outside of it. near my gloves in the photo. On the bottom of the plate you can see the pieces that align the plate to the rim. The rim is mounted on a hub with the wheel bearings like a trailer. When I get it running I can check the RPMs of the rim and the top thinginy which is called a sweep and it turns in the opposite direction as the lap plate. It is mounted so that it is position off center of the lap plate so that the slabs will be moved around a bit. It will all make sense when I get it running and shoot a video.
