Not going to attempt to improve the wording on that line. Upside down because the bulk of the welds were on the bottom and for the reason of lining up the axle hangers Scott. Still had a million upside down welds and have charred arms to show for it(too hot for leathers). Progress as of today. Will load with fire pits and park around Mid town. Got a giant banner ordered with logo. Web gal put it in a vector file. Will weld pipe holders for 1 inch water pipe to slide into. will tie the banner onto the pipes(removable).    |

Dang, James, you are serious about this trailer! Triple axle, wow! (Six tires, ouch.) What's the size of that rectangular tubing, 2" x 12" x 3/8"? That's gotta add some weight. But worth it for strength.
Do you know yet, to the ounce, how much it is going to weigh finished out?
I hope it brings you a lot of fire pit sales.

Just two axles rockpickerforever. The bracket hangers are for the leaf springs in a floating axle setup. Main reason for the trailer is for carrying them to the shipper. Designed for easy load/unload. Gets confusing with options and sizes and who gets what. i will just load each one as it gets ordered. when full(or weekly) take it to the freight company. Gets confusing assigning FB#'s to them too if you have a bunch going out. So I will tag them too as loaded. I also want to load it up and just park at a fine busy corner( I will rent) and sell on the street during fall and spring when it is nice out. The galvanizer charges by weight. so he will weigh it. It is triple coat, should add a good 100 pounds in coating to weight. Guessing 1200 pounds ha, any guesses ? check out tandem floating axle Jean  |

If that is the case, won't that limit what you can use the trailer for?
Wood floors and a couple tarps and you could take the trailer on one of your road trips and rent the levels out as a bunk house.

Guessing the bug thing was a prototype for your actual build... When you going to take it down and make it shiny? Know that you probably already tried wet polishing ad tumbling...grin

Two levels of fire pits on the trailer or 3? You gonna be able to load your yellow lifter contraption on the trailer to unload a pit onsite and put it in a customers truck? Can the yellow beast reach the top level?

Park illegally in a prominent spot. Pay the parking ticket. Cheaper than rent or lease. Better spots.
It's what FedEx and ups does. Food trucks too.
ETA more flexible too

Ah, mounting points for the leaf spring ends. Now I get it! That's for the 'splaining and diagram! the floating axle is a desirable set up for a tandem axle. My first time ever making such a trailer. Made two small tandem axle trailers for the ATV's 25 years ago. Had one dipped. Used the heck out of those two trailers. They had no springs, just solid mount. I think the guy charged me $200 to dip that little 4' X 8' trailer. I believe the sand blaster charged $200. I used old painted steel unknowingly. Paint is galvanizing's worst enemy. Unpainted or rusty steel is no problem. They acid dip it 3 times before galvanizing. Maybe different acids. I think they dip for galvanize at 1100F. Sealed pipes and tubes must be drilled or arch weld a +3/8" hole through it for a vent. He said a 1.5" X 1.5" square pipe got by welded shut on both ends. It blew. Splashed like 20,000 pounds of molten zinc all over the plant. Lots of money. He must have a 100 laborers. It's a sweat shop, nasty. Many trucks carrying steel galvanized at Metalplater's INC. Whole tractor trailers, cell tower sections, DOT bridge sections. I will try to trade a fire pit for at least some of the service cost. They are big coins. |

I prefer macho, but lovely is certainly an appreciated compliment Pat. I hope it reflects to my customers my skills. It will be a unique trailer for sure. It had me thinking about building a camper. I can weld aluminum, but it's been 40 years. can relearn. Aluminum would be great for saving gas on long trips. And my wife would like to get rid of me. She is perfect. Thanks for the kind words. |

Me and 4 buddies do kayak fishing trips twice/year. Their trailer is a pain, too small. I was careful to design it with out internal walls so kayaks could be loaded into it. Or long sticks of steel. Always collecting steel. Pretty sure the yellow beast can lift that high. Have not measured yet. It goes way up. Like for warehouse shelves. Yes, the trailer is designed for fork lift and the yellow beast, via side loading. I saw a yellow beast with hydraulic drive. That may be the next toy. I could overhaul it, done hydraulics before. That way the wife can do it all. Always design for the wife. I have given her all the small fire pit business. Those that can ship UPS. I gave her 80 30" bowls and 40 24" bowls. And parts to make them. She can use my part time welder to weld them. So she is AtlantafirepitsJR. Will see how that goes. China is putting her light business out of business. She is eating crow because I kicked her butt on Etsy. She is competitive. I am a conquerer. Taming her slowly. |

They be strict. They drilled a 10 inch well in Silver Springs FL. It had perfect water, hardly needed reverse osmosis or treatment. Nice soft water. They dropped a giant 3 phase submersible. That well keeps tractor trailers rolling thru on 30 minute intervals. Those guys are stacking money. Designer water is a real business though. Maybe captbob knows what sulfa water is lol. Rotten egg water famous to Florida. My family was raised on that weird water. Q: WHAT ARE THE SOURCES OF HYDROGEN SULFIDE? A: Hydrogen sulfide gas can come from a number of different sources. It can occur naturally in groundwater. Certain “sulfur bacteria” in the groundwater, in the well water itself, or in the plumbing system can create this gas that smells bad. Chemical reactions inside water heaters can also produce sulfur bacteria. In rare cases, pollution can cause the gas to form. Effects on health Sulfur bacteria are not harmful. In most cases the rotten egg smell does not relate to how clean the water is in a well. |

Hoping tomorrow Cliff. Marathon about over. I still have to weld hitch, install retainers to hold load in, other stuff. May even title it. I do have a steel tumbler to remove rust. It holds 4 foot long stuff. Abrasive is driveway pea gravel. Handy tool. |

May park it on a busy spot legally and sit in the bar across the street and take calls. watching them thru the window. They can't steal them, not fast anyway. I can keep a wrist rocket sling shot on me and make them pay. |
