My dad recently gave me a bucket of rocks. Last night he told me about a slab he had been given by Mr Bingham when we lived in Minnesota and that the rock had been named Binghamite. I found the slab and some information that shows it to be very rare now. I think I will have to polish the slab and keep it just for the family history.   |

I'm a fan of Binghamite and pick up nice pieces when I can find them. Your slab really is a treasure in that Mr. Bingham gave it to your dad. Thanks for sharing the picture and story with us!

What an honor to receive that slab. Your Dad kept is all those years, it was special to him. Now he has handed it over to you. It has history and it is special. Polish is and display it. Congratulations.
