Maybe the May winner will have to choose a theme for July. I'm not much for themes but for June I'd like to see the best freeform cabs entrants can come up with: no templates, no standard square, rectangular, round, oval, pear or triangle shapes -- just creative shapes based on patterns within the slabs cutters choose to use. I think it's important to post images of the original slabs and some indication of what the entrants "see" as a finished cab in the stone. I often find that inclusions or hidden fractures can alter my original cab ideas and I have to make "course corrections" as I'm cutting. But I think we should see where the entry is going from start to finish. Hopefully we'll have many more entrants in June unless everyone's out finding rocks instead of cutting them.
