I was working on a hidden bail piece when Cat decided to help. Trying to knockthe cab off the table. Luckily, it went under my stack of papers. He was not having me working! The new piece. I did a blog on this if you are interested. www.telaformosa.com/blog/cat-helps-out-with-hidden-bail

That's really pretty. I prefer a showing bail, but you did this one great. Love the rock!

Sometimes the help is so charming and entertaining, that you just let it happen. Cat's help is one of those times.
My cat is also helpful and I love it!

Yeah, the cat "help" is familiar. Always starts out with them trying to figure out what's so fascinating about whatever you are using, then they decide that its not such a big deal and that you'd do better by paying attention to them instead. They almost always win, too, unless we find them some better distraction.

Beautiful wrap and beautiful "helper" too. I have yet to do a hidden bail so I'm very impressed by your abilities in doing one. Great blog post too. Now I just have to wait for your tutorial for the bail.

I might though since I don't have the piece in front of me anymore.

Ha ha, kitties are such great "helpers", aren't they? My best friend's cat Louie (who coincidentally looks alot like yours) loves to help her "arrange" her jewelry work table, and she does bead embroidery so...seed beads everywhere! Beautiful wrap, beautiful blood stone too!

Love the hidden bail on that one. Really allows the focus to be on the beautiful stone.
Glad to see that Cat is feeling better!

Well you maybe have a cat bugler there in the making. My cat thinks the computer is hers so she has to watch everything I am doing as I am typing now and she is under my left arm. She is quite the thief. No hair scrunchies are safe. Love the cab it awesome.

Drop dead gorgeous cab, with an equally stunning wrap job. Nice work, like the hidden bail look.

My tuxedo cat does that too. If I want to get anything done, he must be in the other room with the door closed. For some reason he bites my ankles when I use my 80 grit wheel. He doesn't mind the other wheels. I think maybe the pitch of the grinding hurts his ears.
Did you take a picture of the back? I have never seen a back bail. How does it work? Maybe it could be modified to make a bola.
A Bola is the official neckwear for men in Arizona. So maybe that would be a way to use large cabs.

I should of, now that you mention it. It's already gone, though. I made it for my sister in law. If I remember, I'll get one when I see her again. I doubt very much if it could be a bolo. Funny, I just posted a question about bolos in the cab section. I have an idea for one and the perfect cab for it. I even ordered the right wire. When I'm finished with my attempt, I'll post it here.
