While on my Meet n Greet to Southern Utah. I was fortunate enough to meet a man that over the last year, I've read many papers by, through Mindat.org. I learned so much from him before I even knew he was affiliated with RTH. Much to my surprise after making the connection and signing up for this trip to meet other awesome people from this forum, I was also going to meet him!!! In our brief encounter he shared something very special with me. It's a thunderegg that the Geode Kid had given him a long time ago. You can image how precious this was to him and now me!!! I cut it yesterday. Thank You so very much 1dave for becoming part of my family and sharing so much of your precious history with little ole me!! vegasjames, Tommy, @shotgunner, jeannie, zarguy, orrum, catmandewe, captbob, jamesp, rockjunquie, fantastic5, I'm sure I left a few tags out... sorry , BAMMM

The words Oooooooo and Awwwwwwww come to mind. Dave is a precious resource. He's been very good to RTH. I'm not surprised by the stories I hear of him being just as awesome in person. You go, Dave!

He also gave Jeannie and I a couple. She is using her saw tomorrow. I'll talk to her about cutting ours. Maybe wait and do it on oil. I had no idea they were like that. I guess I never saw a baker egg before. 1dave Mission accomplished. We all got to meet the Patriarch of RTH. Thanks for your friendship, your knowledge and leadership and mostly, thanks for just being you.

I too was the recipient of a Baker egg from 1dave and unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the innards before I got excited and ran for the wheels to make cabs LOL. Thank you again Dave My brain still glows when I think about the preciously too short amount time we got to spend with you and your lovely wife.

What precious memories this will bring. Dave is awesome. Going to keep it as is or do something with it? This particular one is special so the halves will get polished on the flat lap and put into its own display case with engraved tag and History card. I have several small Baker's eggs I will create with. Haven't cut them yet but will soon.

I was very fortunate and able to purchase about 200 lbs of uncut Baker Ranch nodules from an old collection. As soon as I get through cutting a bit more of the Singleton Ranch material I will start cutting the Thundereggs. Hoping they show some of the red.
