I have been looking on e-bay for Lace Agate, and I noticed something. It seems that rock dealers have a 100% positive rating much more often than most other dealers. Plus I have not bought much from e-bay as far as rocks, but what I got was exactly as advertised. I just bought Blue Lace Agate from robynsrocks, can't wait to get them. I think I paid too much, but I was tired of losing! Darn E-Bay Terry

I believe it has to due with the fact rocks are for everyone. And though vendors can make a living at doing it, if they plan to stay and really make it a real living. YOu cant fool or sidetrack your buyer. And regardless, rough rocks are always tricky to sell online, because allot of folks dont have the equip to work them, or you end up paying just as much for shipping as you did for the rough. Sellers know this and i believe more than often, try harder to make sure there buyer is happy.
IT also, i believe has do due with the power of a stone. As we are vibrational beings, and rocks can be consider living in certain circles because they do vibrate! And people that find interests in them, are attracted to this unseen vibration at frist i believe.
Remember your frist rock? Mine was rather drab and plain when it comes to color, pattern or gem quality. But i still keep it close by simple because it was something i picked up one day, and couldn’t understand why i felt the way i did about it. My tastes have developed for seeing certain gems, but i myself relive more on feel when grading or sorting rough.
AS well, rock vendors most usually always have their feet on the ground. And the ones that dont, are a dead give away to the buyer to not deal with them, mainly becasue they are mean, but this is a rare case.

Hey Terry - I've heard that Blue Lace Agate will fade if left in the sunlight. Must have something to do with UV exposure...anyway just thought I'd pass that along.... Gem - Now your talking my language. I firmly believe that energy fields influence physiology. (Bruce Lipton; Biology of Belief) www.brucelipton.com/As you stated - Rocks resonate... as do all things...we are sensitive to the vibrations which can be destructive or constructive depending upon how the wave frequencies interact. Also...There are theories which claim that all cells communicate via the storage and release of Coherent light (photons) just below the visible light spectrum....some rocks (rubies are used to make lasers) are capable of channeling and storing those photons... Not to derail this thread but I thought you brought up an interesting topic.... Dan

Hey texasrockhound,
Thanks for the link, i knew there was more people talking about that idea, just haven’t looked into it further. But i know it a very powerful idea none the less.
As i used to have severe nerve damage in my hands and forearms from an accident when i was 16. For over 2 years, it was hard even to use a pencil to write, let alone try and cut a rock. But after working with some Condor agate, i came to find out it really helped me relieve this damage, and in essence, helped me rewrite my nerve pathways which were firing incorrectly in my hands and forearms. And since then i have just the occasional back issue like most rockhounders. No more hand claw and no more sharp pains in my hands or forearm.
Then to learn even further about the "String Theory", or the theory of everything. Though still in debate. The main concept is strings of energy in the subatomic level that sing or vibrate at certain frequencies which allow proteins and atoms to form.
I thin most if not all rockhounders wonder what makes them so attracted to such an ugly looking stone. Though we do develop the taste as times goes on for better stuff, it still makes me wonder when i get an email from some rock vendor selling me this or that. And one thing catches my interests. But later that day i find an almost identical piece in my over stocks, and it like i go right to it. only 20tons of rocks, and every piece is too cool. But those ones that or lit in my imagination before hand travel up to the piles surface and say, Here i Am.
