Some Wonderstone from Utah we collect a few months ago. It's easy to become addicted to rock collecting! My husband rented a bigger saw from Home Depot to slice them!

Assuming the wonder stone you guys collected in Utah was at Vernon. Are there still good loose pieces or did you guys use heavy tools, large sledges, chisels, slide hammers etc to chop out fresh, unweathered material?

Yes, we collected those wonder stone in Vernon UT, was a lucky find, not too many big pieces. We only used a small pick. Some one came and used an excavator and took almost everything

There was a commercial mine there and there is a lot of material still there but you have to break it up your self to extract it. Wish they would renew their mining permit. Its like we are jackals feeding off the scraps of abandoned mines, tailing piles, landscapes of businesses, river beds, etc. Need heavier tools to break it up. Easier being a jackal.. grin.. You guys sure got some nice stuff.
