I got some good deals on rough from this guy. His current slab offering is not too interesting to me personally, but I did get one nice 2x4 in slab of Montana Moss Agate. The photos in the auction listings are not real clear, but I hear there is a new camera on hand. He had some Palomino Picture Jasper and some Idaho Plume Agate in 5lb lots for $2/lb Buy-It-Now. But, he also had a 5# lot of each on auction, and I got the 5# lot of Palomino one 5# lot of ID PLume for less than $4 each. I picked up another lot of Plume at the BIN price. There were some bumps to the transaction. It took several email to get things sorted out with the invoice. I got a little frustrated, but the seller turned out to be honest, apologetic for any mistakes, and the rock was nice. I just went back and got one more lot of plume and one more lot of picture jasper. I think he has more to sell, but the starting price may go up if he uses the good photos I posted on the ID board. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=rocksidlib&thread=1142302654forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=rocksidlib&action=display&thread=1142302302

When I got more jasper and plume, there were pieces as nice, but overall fewer nice pieces than the 1st batch. Say 1/3 instead of 1/2. But there are less blocked pieces and they may look a lot better after I cut into them. Or, I may have been lucky the 1st time. The price is still good. Let us know whay you think of the material you get.
I chipped off a few pieces of Palomino and have it in the tumbler. I don't expect a mirror shine, but hoping for at least as good as the disaster peak I tumbled a few weeks back.
Jerry does make a lot of mistakes though. He fixes them so it is no big problem. This time he sent me 9# of plume pieces instead of the 5# lot of pieces and the 4# single-piece I won. He said he would ship the 4# piece as soon as I notified him, but I felt bad because he was going to be out about $8 bucks to ship 4#. So just like the 1st time when something got left out, I went and bought some more stuff from his site so we could split some of the shipping costs to fix the mistake.
Hopefully for his sake he will get a better handle on things over time.

I just wanted to say thanks Deb for letting me know about Jerry! I just won a few of his auctions and lost a few, He tossed in some other rocks because a mix up with one of the auctions and still got it to me in 4 days. Seems like a good guy, On my favorites list after the 4 1/2 lbs of blue lace he sent me.. Here's the link to his store if any one is interested. stores.ebay.com/Natures-Friends_W0QQsspagenameZMEQ3aFQ3aSTQQtZkm

Yeah. There seem to be a lot of mixups, but he is willing to fix whatever. The bulk prices are pretty goo.
