My motor temp is running 134 deg f. On the single loto. i also have a fan on it to try to cool it down more. I have it mounted to two cement blocks. when I run it I always fill it up with in one inch from the top.

Thanks didn't know if I was the only one. Or if I had an issue with the motor.

My 3A is not running that hot, I can hold my hand on the motor casing. But it's only about 60 degrees where I have (today anyway)and I don't have it loaded quite that much.

I have had my 3A with the case off to lube it and look at the belt. Checked the motor while I was in there and thought it ran just as hot as the QT66.

Noticed that my Lortone 3A had 16 air exhaust holes and just 8 holes on the intake in front of the fan. I thought it was running a little warm on the case so I got some wirecutters and cut out between all the intake holes making one giant hole for the fan to pull air from. I think it is running cooler now. First attempt to post a photo using RockShow photo hosting

Good info guys, but the OP is asking about his Loto vibe tumbler. Sorry OP, I can't help you, as I don't own one. Dave

Gosh, you are so correct , I thought I saw the Lortone name in there. I just turned 60 and it is already starting to show... But the test of the RockShow picture hosting worked perfectly

No problem guys, this is all good info. There are a pretty fair amount of Loto users here, so I'm sure someone will eventually jump in. Must be the holiday. melhill1659Garage RockerJugglerguyDave

My Lot-O is off right now, and I don't have a really good way to measure the temperature of it.

Stacker.. Ditto Jugglers words. My loto runs hot like all continuous service motors. I probably have own 60-70 motors running as I type for a large nursery and never had a fire in all the time I have operated. They get hot, bearing drag, make some noise, then trip out. try em again for a few days and then replace motor. If it seizes it seizes and trips the break. New motor but cant worry about maybes. Might look at lubing it occasionally.

Single lot-o, on the back cylindrical surface the average temp is around 130f with ambient temp in the 80's. Checking various places on the motor the temp ranged from 110 to 140. This unit is less than a year old, mounted on one block, occasional use.

I have recently bought a lotto but have no good way to measure temp.. After running it for days and mounted to a block my motor gets hot but I can still touch it. It is warmer than my tumbler motor. I don't have a thermo couple. (Spelling)
