Organize...Organize....Organize. So much to do, a never ending job. You get new ideas and or better ideas then you start over.
What's the answer, well.... Drop back 7 yards and punt. HA
Where my wife works, they got rid of all there plastic cabinets 9"X 18"X 2" deep For medical records and there work great at a good price...free.
When they get full, the milk crate idea looks nice.

No rush here. That green color was cool though. Handier than buckets stacked outside and don't collect rain water.

And buckets are toast in 18 months. You can use 3 gallon pots no holes. Check your vendor ETA Actually holes is better.

Scott do the crates have any UV resistant property's in them or can they be ordered with some ? Here i can only get about 4 yrs out of milk crates or bread flats ? I cover mine for this very reason. I go to the lumber yard and dumpster dive for the disposable tarps that wrap tji's and microlams. This material lasts longer than any tarps I've ever seen, plus they are free. Plus the lumber yard is glad to get rid of them. I also like the fact that they prevent debris like autumn leaves from falling into my crates.

I love milk crates as much as anyone, but my only problem is I can't get enough free ones. A while back I became friends with a guy at the local tree nursery and I was given a whole bunch of the black plastic buckets that fruit trees are sold in. These have been awesome because besides being free they have great UV protection and are fairly durable. I can stack them two high and sometimes three high if not too heavily loaded.
Now days I find that most nurseries want to keep them for reuse, but it's worth a try to get some. The worst they can do is tell you no.

Especially if you are ready to accept either answer.

I have a bunch of milk crates that were in a church's garbage. If I get caught with them, what are they gonna do - charge me with trashy property?

You are clean and organized no doubt. I used to keep the cleanest house imaginable. You could eat off my floors at any time. But, I really don't care as much anymore. It's clean enough and cluttered- it's lived in. I ain't stressing about that stuff anymore. I am somewhat organized in my work, though.

Do what more Brian? All you need to do is open the gate to allow the freight company access. Just think of what you could do with all that new free space! (start over) Let me know what the bill is. TYVM
