I have stuff similar to that from a different area of the Mojave Desert (than Wingate). I'll be standing by to see what come to pass.
ETA: Knowing that my stuff didn't come from Death Valley, specifically Wingate Pass, I'm interested to see what folks say. For mine, I'm just thinking some type of agate of sorts. If you don't mind, I'll post photos later.

Looks like agate from the mossy part of Riviera Plume vein. Plume tends too be along the edges and often grades into mossy stuff further in. Could be Calico Lace too but I'd expect to see a little lavender or pink in the fortifications.....Mel
