Grand daughter getting married and she asked me if I would make a simple box for the rings to be carried forward in. Simple, ya right, first grand daughter getting married. I don't think so. One thing led to another, you know .......... Carnelian, ? white wood, red heart wood, old flash light destroyed. I made the top to pull back and the front to drop down so there would be no nervous fingers fumbling around trying to get the rings out. I used the real fat yarn because every other ring box has the fabric and I can not repeat what everyone else does. Have a nice day Jim

Thank you both. It was fun for a while but I cut the red heart a little big to make sure I wasn't going to end up too small. You can probably guess the rest. Damn I got tired of sanding on that red stuff. Jim

The box is beautiful! But, the lights are an awesome touch. I can only imagine the bling factor and how they will look at presentation time.

Thank you all for your generous comments.
I see a lot of people on here saying the photo is not so good and it looks better in person. I believe it but in my case I am glad it is not possible to show it in person because my photography does a good job of hiding all the flaws and oopses Jim

No point in making it "simple" when you can make it a lifetime memory, very nice.

There you go!! Make yourself a box, and then what? Ya give it away! I suggest you make yourself another "simple" box and then keep it as proof you are thinking outside it! Seriously, great job, great-grandad to be! She is getting married and babies will follow. Woot!

Really put a lot of love and skill in that one. Amazing quality. Many hours of detail work.
