I have been wanting to cut a couple of hardwood pieces into lath to make canes that were stuck in my head. Used to have a table saw but never got it back from a loan. I seldom need one so I decided to make one just to cut the lath. My son told me that I am probably the only person on the planet that would make a five gallon table saw or even think to do it. I can not help it because I do not have a box, Scott took it away from me. So, here is my five gallon table saw. Bucket has rocks in it to hold it down and my cross feed is just a guess but it got the job done. And the finished product. I do still have all nine of my fingers. No wait, I counted again and there are ten. The brown wood ? was more flexible so I had to put a stiffener on it. They are very light weight, 9 oz on the red one, but almost as strong as what I had hoped for. The flat on top handles are very easy on the hands too. Thanks for stopping by Jim

Dude you effing rock! I'm fleshing out a similar build. A "chop saw" using my 4" angle grinder to cut 6" pvc pipe. Instead of a bucket I'll use skateboard wheels for the pipe and a door hinge for the chopping action of the angle grinder. Nice build sir!
