Any method(s) that work for longer than a short time that will hold the tension on a stock Lortone Beaver two wheel arbor? The odd angle and limited space in which to use a wrench is frustratingly limited. Also ideas on how best to pry or press and then hold the motor rearward and keep it there once the nuts are tightened? Seems I've tried many of the methods that don't keep the belt tightened and the motor starts to kinda bounce a bit and the thumping sound I'm sure can be heard nextdoor. Not an issue normally but my hours put me doing this late at night when I can get around to doing it. I forgot the belt needs to be tightened again and need to use the expanding drums to polish some stones and I'm running out of time to get them polished. Thanks for your time in answering as I know it is limited.

2, 4 or 6 wheel? 6 or 8 inch? Motor mt type? Lortone has made multiple versions of the beaver with 2 or 3 motor mounts, some work ok, some not at all. A lot of people just mount it on a piece of plywood and mount the motor further back to make it easier to adjust. I am in the PDX area and willing to look at it if needed. I do the tool maintenance for the Mt Hood lap shop.
