I find that torture. Especially those pocket sized pieces. Fortunately, Springdale has a few shops were you can collect for a fee.

Really nice piece of wood there! Is that up on Hurricane Mess? My husband's Uncle lives in Hurricane and we've been up to that party of the park a few times. Very pretty!

Although, they say a picture is worth a 1000 words. You have a nice picture that will last forever. Nice find and good pictures.

Really nice piece of wood there! Is that up on Hurricane Mess? My husband's Uncle lives in Hurricane and we've been up to that party of the park a few times. Very pretty! It's not Hurricane Mesa, it's the Dalton Wash Trail, same area, though. There's a little used hiker's gate into Zion, lots of P-Wood all over. I took a friend up here and while I was in the wash he was on the bench looking around when he came across this area. By exploring outside the NP, I've found a great collecting area, small to mid-sized pieces, my second tumble will be wood from there.

I replied to another of your ?, yes, all photos became unavailable when Fototime closed a couple of years a go.
