So I bought a bunch of belts for my expando drums a few months back, this was my first venture in cabbing and I was totally unaware of any of the subtlties of using and breaking in diamond grinding stuff. Sure enough my first belt got trashed pretty quickly mostly due to my own ignorance, although the rest of them seemed to be holding up OK.
I e-mailed the shop I bought the belts from, they referred me directly to Eastwind where I asked if there might be either something stupid I was doing, or maybe I got a bad belt.
They replied very positively, so positively in fact that they offered to replace my 325 belt totally free of charge, and they threw in a fine dressing bar as well.
There might be better diamond belts out there- I don't know, but my experience with Eastwind and their support being so fantastic, I will be a customer of theirs for a long time.

Hey rally, I have a couple of Eastwind belts and I'm having problems with the 600 belt. The problem is trying to get it on and off the wheel. It's really tight and when I try to push the edge of the belt, it now starting to buckle on me and I'm afraid that soon it's just gonna rip. Do you have any problems like this?

Funny you should mention that, as I have from time to time experienced similar issues, but tonight I went through belts from 600 to 3000 and they all went on and off without much problem.
From my experiences I think it might have as much to do with the expando drum and how much it wants to "relax", afraid I don't have any handy solution for you though Ed, sorry.

Wow Ed, I had that same problem with mine. I bought a set and the 325 and 600 ones seemed a little tight. All the rest were fine. I thought it was my drum. Guess not. I switched to a slightly smaller drum and it fixed the problem. Maybe it's worth writing them about it. I would have but I thought it was the drum I had, not the belt. I used a fair of flat pliars (none of those little grooves for grip) to get it off, CAREFULLY. The belts themselves are holding up great cut strong. I have noticed that the area where the two ends meet is beginning to show but it hasen't effected the cutting at all. Rallyrocks, good to hear they responded so well. Steve
