Anybody recently win anything from Magicjunk lately? I found him after Sabre recommended checking out his AZ pet wood. I won an item off him a few days back and every time I try to pay I keep getting the message "This seller cannot currently receive payments." What's up with that?
I sent him several emails questioning the situation, no response yet. He does have a 100% positive feedback, so I felt secure placing some bids on his items.
I feel like I'm some deadbeat whenever I go to ebay, it says I have a payment to make. I've been trying but have no luck.
Anybody come across this situation before?

I bought something from him on E-bay 2 weeks ago. I asked him to tell me when it ships and he has not responded yet. I am thinking know I got screwed. I going to file a complaint with E-bay and paypal.

Howdy guys, Man I feel so bad now. I bought two flat raters of pet wood from magicjunk and the sale went off without a hitch. Of course, I'm a Pay Pal user and paid right after the auction. Shipping was already stated so I had no real need for a lot of back and forth e-mails. He never did tell me when the item shipped but it arrived very fast and the two boxes of wood were very nice so I had no complaint. I had checked his feedback and as you've said it was 100% so I wasn't concerned. Pat, two weeks does seem a bit slow if you paid with Pay Pal but sometimes the mail here is very slow. I think I'd still give him a few days before complaining and send him another E-Mail to give him another chance to respond. I buy from Astrogallery once and a while and they take friggin forever to ship even if you do pay via Pay Pal.
Joanna: Have never come across the situation where I got a note like you've received from E-Bay. However, I have had the link for Pay Pal payment that was posted on the E-Bay e-mail that says I've won the item fail to work. In that case, I logged on straight to Pay Pal, went to the send money section and paid straight through Pay Pal. Don't know what else to say about your situation except I'm sorry you're having problems......mel

I did try logging straight into paypal to pay him, after the "pay now" option from Ebay kept giving me the same message. Filled out all the extras to send money and thought it was going to work finally and at the end I got the same "This seller cannot currently receive payments" message. His account does say he accepts Paypal.
Pat, interesting about him not responding to your messages either. I'm not out any money I just have an out standing debt I don't know how to remedy. 2 weeks does seem like a long time.
I did pay for a item won from a different seller the next day without seeing that message come up, so the problem isn't on my end.
I wonder if his account was compromised in some way and it's frozen to further activity.
Oh Sabre, you certainly got an amazing deal with that petwood, huh?

Try contacting paypal customer service too 1-888-221-1161 As it may be a bug with giving you that type of responds. If there was a problem with your account they would tell you up front when you logged in.

Joanna: Wow! Does sound like you've about tried everything I would have. I'd do what Shain says and contact Pay Pal directly and talk with them about the problem. And yes, the rainbow pet wood was a great deal. I couldn't believe the lack of interest in those particular auctions but it worked out swell for me because I was just about out of wood for my tumbling mix I do for our gem club show every year. It's always one of the most popular items and with gas prices being what they are, getting it through E-Bay was way cheaper than going to my favorite place to hunt a new supply....mel

I'm having the same problem. Can't pay via paypal, can't get a response from him via email. So I figured I'd send a money order but his address is only listed as the town he lives in, no street or box number. I don't want a negative for nonpayment. I figure something must be wrong because he has good feedback up until now.

I think I'll give him until Monday to at least respond to my emails (with an acceptable explanation), if not then I try the paypal customer service number.
June, I wouldn't be so fast to throw money at him in the form of a money order. Might end up not receiving you item(s) you won.
I'm still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. I read in the eBay forums that a dispute can freeze an account or just a glitch in the Pay pal program. Maybe... he's out of town and had a glitch in the program and isn't aware of it yet (wishful thinking on my part probably)

I was going to wait until at least Monday also. I don't intend to pay for anything now, until he emails me. I have saved all my emails to him, so I have proof that I tried, via Ebay's message system to contact him. Thing was, he had shipping rates set up, but then someone asked him if he would ship flat rate, and he said he would, but when I went to pay, it kept giving the elevated shipping rates. Since I won the rock for so little I thought perhaps he wanted to make extra with shipping. Finally I decided to just pay the thing and then I ran into a problem with the Paypal.

I'm out $146.00 as of now. He responded to my first e-mail via e-bay. He has not responed to any e-mails after that. He said he would e-mail me when my I had been shipped. I paid for it on July 13. I think I will take the advice an wait till Monday before I file compalints with e0bay and paypal.

I would do it now. You file an "Item Not Recieved" claim with PayPal. Ebay will make you use the PayPal method if that is how you paid.
You can easily cancel the dispute and report it resolved if the item arrives.
BUT, PayPal only refunds money upto the amount in the seller's PayPal account. You don't want to be in line behind a lot of other folks.

i sure hope everyone used a credit card to purchase with....only use a cedit card to buy with on ebay...no exceptions.
if he cannot accept paypal funds online...for whatever reason....he has gotten chargebacks from others lately....most likely scenerio....or at least complaints...and paypal has limited the account.
if you used a credit card...just file a chargeback.

cpdad has a good point. If there is no more money in the PayPal account to give refunds, you can still file with your credit card company. Unfortunately PayPal does everything they can to get you to do direct checking withdrawal, so some folks may not have the option.
Good luck folks.

Just heard from magicjunk and they claim they have been having internet provider problems. Could be true, I know I've had my share of provider problems from time to time. I went ahead and paid them via paypal (no problem with it this time) and hope for the best.
