Hello, I just noticed all my photos are gone from all my posts (they've been replaced by a photobucket logo - something about third party crap). Does that mean in common language that the pics are gone for good?

Way I understand it is you can still look at your pics but cannot post them to a third party forum unless you pay their extortion fee of several hundred bucks a year. Some folks though, have said they cannot access their account period, so I don't know what's going on there. I just got my threat note from them yesterday. So far, my pics seem to still be on the forum but I doubt it will be for long after the uncomplimentary note I posted them in response to their threat......Mel

If you see the dreaded warning, try right clicking on it and then select open in new window. the pictures are still on photobucket, they are just blocking the link. I would have paid a smaller monthly fee, but not 400 bucks a year.

John thanks for posting this. I guess that's why my pics are still visible. I've paid for several years to be 'ad free' on pb. Granted it's on their lowest 'tier', but it looks like I have until December '18 before they give me the boot. Plenty time to figure something else out. Can I delete everything that I posted on PhotoBucket since 2009? If the images can't be viewed on RTH (or 3rd party sites), I see no reason why PhotoBucket should exist.

If you cant vote on the Board of Governors, vote with your consumer dollar and boycott them.

adrian65 - Go to your PB account - be sure to log in.
Sometimes they will allow you to download a folder at a time. Any sub folders will NOT be included.

Otherwise download one image at a time. That way you don't have to jump through any hoops.

That will get you the images WITH THE PB ADD ON INFORMATION.

Send the images to Tommy - a flash drive works best - and he will place them on the RTH image location.

Then in each of your posts you just need to edit each post and replace the PB part of each image -

with the new RTH location. From there you can move along quite rapidly repairing the mess.

Be sure to Preview often to make sure it is working.
