Some friends of ours were up visiting the past week so we took them up to Lake Superior for the day yesterday . Same beech and rocks as my last thread so I didn't take the camera out . On the way home we decided to show them a waterfall we went to a few times in the past . Just a small on but lots of water . Wren Falls is the name of it , only about 10 feet wide and drops about the same . Anyway , thought I would share a couple pics . We didn't crawl down the almost vertical 50 feet for a close up this time , From downstream a bit , And looking downstream farther , we didn't venture farther this time around but it is really cool scenery downstream , Now offering guided tours , just kidding but we have been to a bunch of waterfalls . Thanks for looking

spectacular wigglin Agree w/Bob, in need of cool air. Was in the high 70s maybe low 80s and there was sweat dripping off the rocks , mine anyway . Can't seem to settle for a reasonable steady temp , either way hot or sweatshirt cool . Crazy weather , must be global warming .

There are are so many great falls in the U.P. My favorite is Canyon Falls between Marquette and Houghton, but I haven't seen them all yet. Thanks for the pictures, that's one I haven't seen.

Thank you so much for sharing. That certainly is a beautiful location. I am always glad to see that other parts of the country have the same beauty that I thought only Montana had! OK, just kiddin'. Save what you have...when it's gone, it's gone!

We have the book "guide to 199 Michigan Waterfalls" which has been a great resource . Only been to a little over 100 named falls in the UP , got a ways to go . This one is in Wisconsin a little over a hundred miles from home .

Man that looks sooo refreshing! Only 110 here today (118 two days ago), but the monsoon moisture is flowing into the state. They say it's a dry heat out here but no.. not today

Said the pool is 32 feet deep below the falls .

Might be a good deal . Be a welcome change in jobs. Be fun to lead a rock tour through the tailings and gravels there. Maybe just a nature tour. Fishing for snakeheads. hehehe

Life gets more of a hassle and more complicated the more government we have and their self made laws we have to pay for and to endure. Too bad life wasn't more simple. groan... grin Pretty day in the mountains.. Wish you were here would give you the grand tour. Maybe look at my waterfalls. Seen one Saturday on the way to a rockshow in Durango to hook up with Zarguy, that was a few hundred feet tall and dropped in a major chasm. Wasn't as uniwue as yours.

Most likely there would be liability issues to tend to . Small scale start up would be would be the way to go . We don't have the real high falls around this area . Northern Mn has a couple pretty tall ones though . So how many tons of rock did ya haul home ?

Wasn't even 400 pounds but the chunk of massive crystals weighed a couple hundred pounds and collected a lot on the last 50 miles. Not lap stuf but more yard rocks, hehehe Also brought home memories. Like that part. Don't have to load them in 3 trucks to more those. grin
