After rescuing all of my pics from PB I got to take a look at some photos i had not seen in a long time. I thought it would be fun to post pics of all of the knife handles I have made in the past few years, enjoy.
Knife #1 (chrysocolla)

Since this is a soft stone I did a two step stabilization with Starbond. I let the extra thin soak in a few times and used the medium thin to build up the surface a bit. The stone fit could have been better.
Knife #2 (Lawsonite)
An accountant friend chose this knife blank and said he needed it for his chickens. I told him those must be some really rough chickens if he needs a combat knife to deal with them He clarified he needed the knife to cut wire and posts for the chicken coop

My first big commission, two scout type knives (Cady Mtn jasper/agate) and a San Mai folder (tiger tail)
What do you do when one of the slabs splits when you are trimming? You take smaller pieces of stone and connect them with a small strip of brass to make it look intentional These knives were going to brothers so they needed to be able to tell them apart.

Plasma agate. I know a proud parent shouldn't have a favorite, but this is mine. it is a bit softer than I would, but you can't beat the colors and the depth. I have made about 5 of these are retirement gifts.
