My husband ordred me some wire for an anniversary present from these folks: www.raydeccreations.com/index.phpHe said the gal is really friendly and very helpful. She is also apparently always looking to buy cabs. I don't know what she'd pay, but thought I'd pass on the info in case anyone was interested in selling some of their HARD WORK!!

Oh, oh and they're in Canada aren't they? Wanted to buy stuff from them for a while - did you see the full persian bracelet they have? wonder if it,s a kit?
Know how we get a hold of her for cabs?

I'm kind of nervous about her right now. I put in an order on the 2nd and never heard back. All of my e-mails have been returned as "user unknown" for all of their addresses. I just called her and she said my order is "in process", that she has been having trouble with her e-mail and that she couldn't really talk because the battery on her phone was "dying - I'm having one of those days". I'm hoping it's just a fluke. My husband had called her to ask about the wire, etc. because he was going to order stuff for me for our anniversary. They really had a nice, long chat and she had told him she was looking for cabs. He felt she was very friendly and open. I'm hoping that is true. My fingers are crossed. If anyone else has any experience with her, please let me know.
Yup in Canada Tweet!

I tried getting some quotes from Mountain Gems when I was looking for a cabbing machine - kinda like pulling teeth. I ended up buying it and the supplies from Greens Lapidary.
Beadfx is great though - great service, quick shipping. That's who I've been buying from, but they didn't have 1/2 round... I'm going to ask them if they'll get it and probably cancel my order at the other place unless I hear something from her soon. I like to give people a chance, maybe she is having a tough time right now.

I talked to Rachel at The Ebead store again today. She said my order should be going out today or Monday. My fingers are crossed.

Did she say if they had half round? I usually get the same woman, very nice people - never had any problems with them at all... I'm now currently waiting on an order of sterling silver rings to make myself a bracelet and a bunch of stainless steel rings to make myself a necklace - I'm itching to try those.... and some rings to wrap cabs of course - which I'm also itching to try.... if only my cheque would arrive

I order 1/2 round and square. She said she was waiting for her order to come in and as soon as it does she'll send it out. So, she should have 1/2 round today or Monday. She sounded less frazzled today - which was a relief. I'm hoping things work out well - I really would like a good reliable place for wire and apparently, from the conversation she & my hubby had we have a lot in common.

Okay, now I'm frustrated. I've tried every e-mail address on her website - all came back as being bad addresses. Called her several times. Last Thursday she said she was expecting to ship it out that Friday or Monday and that she would send an e-mail notify me. Never heard from her.
Tried calling a couple times at the end of this week - no answer. Left a message on the answering machine to cancel the order. Still haven't heard anything.
I don't know what is going on, but this is a lousy way to do business. At this point, be leary of Raydec Creations and The eBead Store.

This little mini-saga is over. After my voicemail they refunded my money. At least it is over with.

For square wire, if you don't mind the 12" lengths, try www.imperialsmelting.com or ca? if you really want the twisted wire, do it yourself, get a little pinvise gadget www.theringlord.com sells them for about $4US (and they sell wire there too!) their prices are in US funds but I twisted mine with the pinvise and it turned out okay - not worth paying the price for the extra 2 seconds it takes to twist it yourself. I liked dealing with imperial smelting (cdn company) and their service was excellent - if you want half round = 12" lengths too but for round, you can get a spool of the stuff - only thing: it,s all half hard which is good for the 1/2 round but a little more difficult for the other wires, but you should be able to manage, I kinda did! PM me if you want more details.
