Do you guys ever get tired of messing with your rocks all the time? for the past month I havent felt like messing with my rocks. I am still tumbling some stuff but just feel like I need a break so I don't get burned out. Do you guys slow down when it gets warmer outside. My rocks are out in the barn and it has been too warm. I did bust up some type of mineral that is bigger than a persons head. Not sure what it is but will post pics when I get it out the first stage.

So far I haven't gotten bored, but most of ya'll, because of the time difference are posting just when my husband is getting off of work, about 11:oo pm. I love to talk to everyone but I feel like I've kind of been neglecting him. Rocks And computers are addictive. cookie

I've got 2-3 lb barrels and 1-15 lb barrel running that have all needed to be checked and possibly moved on for over a week, but I have either not had the time to do it, or have just been too tired to mess with them. I did kinda think once that I was gettin' burned out, but then I got some new rocks and couldn't wait to get started again.
This is a very time consuming hobby at times. I can understand wanting to take a break. But I wouldn't take a break while you have stuff running that isn't finished. Finish what is running right now, and then take a break if you still want to. Then start a new load and be amazed anew by what you can do with your rocks!

I have 4 6 lb barrels going and I know that at least one of the barrels needs to be looked at but I have been working so much that I haven't had the time. they are just rolling along I can hear the big rock working in coarse so am not worried they will be fine when I get to them. Agates being as hard as they are a few extra days won't be a problem

I think that is why I am sticking to one tumbler, although I already have quite a few rocks and always on the look out for more, I doubt I will get a second tumbler. If I get two or more I wouldn't be able to just start a load and forget about it for a week at a time. I have so many different craft skills that when I get bored with one thing I can always move on to something else. It is always nice to have something to fall back on.
