Everybody I know who has had cataract surgery has been extremely happy with it. Some of them ended up with 20/20 vision in that eye-- better than they had before. And insurance covers it. We have a proven, inexpensive technology that works for just about everybody. I'm not a doctor. Ask an eye surgeon how a cataract should be treated, and go with that. Even without medical school, I can almost guarantee the treatment will involve a few seconds with a modern laser rather than randomly staring moodily into the setting sun. I mean, c'mon. Looking directly into the sun is a known high risk behavior. Again, don't ask Google or the internet. Ask somebody who actually graduated medical school, such as the person who will be doing your laser surgery. PLus ! Live by Google, go blind and die of cancer by Google.
