i bought a green blade from lapidary-rock-saw-blade.com, who uses eBay name BUTW. the blade works great based upon my limited experience. for the price i am very happy. the store is run by a father and son, father is the rockhound and when i talked with him he tried to talk my ear off (like any rockhound, lol), and he gave me some real good advice on which blade and how to improve my cutting. I did talk to the son and he is just a guy who sells blades but he is friendly and helpful. the only down side is they are a little slow to ship, but they charge actual shipping cost and they use the least costly shipping method unless you tell them otherwise. i will buy from them again. i think they are worth a look if you need a blade. jerry

I bought that same green blade for my 10" and it worked well. I also bought a 10" mk hotdog blade on ebay for the same price and that blade is working nicer...

Hey Jerry, you didn't say what size blade you bought, but I made the mistake of buying one of those green import blades for my 18" saw and it was taking forever to through my rocks, mostly agates and jaspers. I tried cutting into a grinding wheel, reversing the blade and nothing worked. I think it was $139 and not worth every penny of it.

mine is a 10 inch, i was having very slow cutting on anything hard with my old blade. with this blade i am cutting 5-10 times faster. for example i had a piece of very hard pet wood that i cut on for two hours and was only 1/3 through so i took it off the saw, with the new blade i put that it and cut through it in ~15 minutes. huge improvement for me.
last night i cut some good sized slabs of agate/jasper mix of aobut 1.5"x4" in ~20 minutes. so its good for me.
Edog i saw some hot dog blades for just a little more from another vendor and was going to grab one until i talked with the father at BUTW. he was really helpful and assured me that i would be satisfied or he would take care of me. i may try a hot dog in the future, but for now the Greenie!
cheers jerry
