Yea I eat up those 3 Lb lids pretty quick- I should have my 12 lber this billing cycle or next- I'm so close I can taste it- I use my CC for everyday purchases (gas, food, ect.) so the points add up pretty fast Lets see I've had the card for 5 years now- and I've gotten a Metal detector and and AR-2- dang near $700 worth of free goodies!!! The 12 Lber is going to be the 60/90 machine- that will leave me with 3- 3lb barrels extra- One is going to run softer materials (obsidians) in 60/90- the other 2 will most likly become 120/220 barrels- that will leave me with 2 machines to run the 500 thru polish stages (I figure when all is up and running I should produce a finished batch every 3 weeks!)

That should work out well. I use six pounders downstream from the AR-12, and it can't quite keep up with them. So at the end of the season, I got a Model B fifteen pounder to add in at the head of the line next spring. If that and the AR-12 overwhelm the six pounders, I will run the coarse loads a little lighter. I run any soft stones right in with the hard stones through prepolish. Then they get a separate polish. I don't do obsidian or glass because they require pellets at all stages. I only use pellets in prepolish and polish.

Hey Spacegold, I wouldn't worry about lining the barrel of the Thumler's B because they are almost 1/4 inch thick. Mine have run in coarse for 3 years with no visible wear. However, the lids are a different question, they only seem to run for 6 months before wearing out. I have resorted to cutting out the center and using the "lid" as a gasket. But, It is a bit noisy. I have tried plumbing gasket material, but nothing I have tried stands up to the constant coarse grinding. Would be interested to see how long a reinforced lid will last.
