Photos of the Malachite/Hematite mixed rock I found. Very heavy for size. Extremely magnetic. Local Geologist identified and was amazed. Said it might be portion of a meteorite. That combo is unheard of here. I have never heard of Malachite in a meteorite, so maybe someone here can enlighten me. All I know is that it is beautiful and a treasure.

Good job on taking something unique to a professional geologist. Maybe a second opinion from a college or University would make your loved and neat find an even greater treasure.

I love it. Very heavy for size, which is about 3.5" by 3/4" thick. SAme weight as much larger rocks I found here.
