Aggggh! Woke up from a bad dream haven't had one in some time, it all started off nice I was having a going back to school party for my son, all was wel, and you know collage kids drinking and haveing fun, they where fine, then RTH members started showing up, and it got crazy, guys where hulking out rocks from the landscape going through my house looking for hidden rock staches, even some of the women trying to sweet talk me out of rocks, just when I thought I got things under control, it got worse someone was backing a truck through my yard to load rocks and guys where taking down my shed the women whipeing out my slabs, it was out of control! Woke up this morning about 3:30am. Ask coloradociff I replied to his email at that time, glade it was over but I still had to check my rocks. .

I left an envelope full of cash to pay for what I took. 50¢/pound right?
It's in the mailbox at Nethers Farm in flint ridge Ohio.

*LOL* That's just what happens when ya love yore rocks too much. Still remember when, before I moved to Texas, I was sitting in my yard looking at my massive piles of rocks and boulders all over my back yard thinking," How the heck am I gonna decide what to take and what to leave?" Almost gave me a nervous breakdown and I lost a lot of sleep over it. And, I still screwed up by leaving a massive gem quality jade lens I had for a stepping stone in the side yard and a huge ( very expansive) boulder of Oaxaca travertine I forgot in my wife's garden.
Also forgot a gun at our old ranch house and lucked out, when at the last minute, I remembered to dig up my silver from beneath the rose bush but that's another story *L*....Mel

Bet that took some time to get over, do you still have all your sliver ?

Nah, it was just extra weight so I sold it off before the move. Actually, along with three or four rock garage sales and selling my collection of vintage military rifles, it pretty much paid for the move. Probably have a few coins around I found coin shooting but I'm really not into that so I sold most that stuff too. One accumulates a lot of crap after 40years in the same house. Keep telling myself to buy more silver but I always forget till the price seems too high. I'm even trying not to buy more rocks as I've come to the conclusion I have too many to even cut what I already have and I keep finding more *L*.
Funny, after that happened I was thinking about a buddy of mine who's pop had gold coins hidden all over in his motor home. Sure hope he remembered that when his pop died..Mel

And said to the other guy sorry you collect knives, this guys is trying to preserve history, told the old timer thank you for you service and I would be honored to let him donate the bayonet in his name and that I am not going to charge him, as hardened as he was his eye's teered up, as he told me thank you a shook my had, gave him my best salute and told him to have a great day, almost had to fight the other guy cause he was pissed told him sorry he did not understand the value of what the other was doing, I don't remember the guys name, but he did donate it to the pueblo aircraft and military museum,

ACR: You know, all those TV ads tout owning silver as a good investment and it does bounce up and down a bit but overall I had mine a long time and it was mostly a waste of time and money. You pay a heavy fee buying and then again on selling and capital gains at tax time. I held mine for years ( *L* Since I had freaking buried it) and in the end it was pretty much a wash. Had I put the money in my mutual funds, I would have almost doubled my money over that time and it would have been tax free. Learned my lesson on that investment. No more silver, or gold for that matter, for me.
Best silver experience I had was when mercury dimes were worth more than a buck each. We had a WWII cafeteria where I worked on the old Camarillo AFB. I'd go down there on the back lawn with my Garrett for a quick coin shoot at noon, find me a few merc dimes and pay for the next days lunch, sometimes a weeks lunches. Had me a ton of free lunches that way. Bought me yummy chimachangas and burritos at the famous Somis Market ( best Mexican food ever!) Now that was a great silver investment!!!!
And yes, I'm convinced one can never have enough rocks. I'm definitely in that "See, want, buy" category. *L* Remember, sometimes ya just have to say NO!!!!!!!!...Mel
