I've purchased a Lortone tumbler and grit from Mama's Minerals. No problems to report.

Yup.. Mama's Minerals is a good rockshop. I have bought rough, pellets, grit from them a few times. Since they are here in Albuquerque, I can walk in, so I don't know about their shipping process.

DAH rock shop is an excellent store. I have been buying from them for years. In fact in a couple of weeks I will be driving out to Tucson and will stop by there to buy some rough. They have excellent service if ordering, and just as great in person. Every time I go there, which is three or four times a year, I feel like a kid in a candy store. They have tons of rough material at very reasonable prices. They also carry tumblers, grits, etc. etc. If you are ever in Tucson, be sure to stop by. You won't regret it.
Whoa! I just checked out your bio, and it says you are from Tucson. What are you doing there on your computer? Run, don't walk to DAH. Just be sure to leave some for me.

Definitely stop by DAH, I was in Tucson a couple of years ago and stopped by DAH on the way to the Phoenix airport to go home. I should have stopped by on the way to Tucson, instead of the last day. I could have spent hours looking at all the rock inside the building and also the back lot. They have lots of stuff. As it was, I picked up a few items, but could easily have bought more if I had some additional time.

I live about 5 blocks from Mama's Minerals. Needless to say I spend a lot of time there. They carry everything from lapidary equipment to rough, beads and cabachons, minerals, grit for emergencies. They have lots of what Shain calls cheese. Anyway, I go there because I live so close. Not sure I would purchase from them online. Their prices are about 10% higher than one can find elsewhere on the Internet. Love to wander around in there, however. :oS
DAH Rock Shop is one of my must-sees when I go to Tucson this year...and I just got a 128 megabit card for my camera...oohaha. I've heard it's a good place for agate.

Thanx for all the info.
I've been to DAH Rock Shop, and it certainly seems great. I just have nothing with which to compare it.
