I always give back to the cause every year.....When I started out rockhounding,the oldtimers always told me to "Pay it forward".. Been doing that off and on for awhile now.. I enjoy it too... Going to have a contest for a med. flat rate box of tumbling material... Free to winner,I pay shipping too...  Its full of my own findings,material I bartered from friends,cut ends,anything and everything.. Plus the kicker-I put in a beautiful cut and polished display rock in the bunch too!!! (Not telling you what it is either) LOL icon_think (cool14) Only a few rules to the contest... Have to have under 50 posts,tumble rocks and are a newbie under 6 months on this forum.. I'm giving you all time to gather up and listen,for I'm headed out for a family hounding trip to Montana.. Reunion with family.. Taking our oldest granddaughter with us,"Amy",she is 10 years old,likes to hound with Grandpa and Ma'.. Will be gone a week,than I will start the contest..... Remember it's worth the effort and winner gets all!!!!!!!! Will think of a nice contest for you all,maybe a bit tough,maybe not.... icon_think   PS: One hint,pay attention..LOL |

Hmm...Am I a newer member...? Been here for only just two months (joined june 10th), but I have over a hundred posts... Lets try whining to ole frank..He's easy money.. Might get a box of gravel from him if you win. How about a contest that's easier to qualify for accidentalrockhound Mike is too smart.

Just got back from our trip... Liking the responses to my topic.. LOL Nope,same rules,as I stated... This won't be the last contest,this I swear... Thumbs up. Hope you all have your thinking caps on,because I changed my topic a bit.. LOL That is part of the contest... It will start when I get on here tomorrow,so be ready I have a feeling it will go fast.... All that I ask is you post your goodies,before and after and pay it forward,some day..... If nobody can get the answer (In a few days) I will open it for all to play... I did some changes on the subject,so I hope you have a good memory...LOL The answer to my question has been on here for a week now,but the kicker is,I took it off lastnite!! Will give everyone a chance,so will start the contest tonite...(Give the working people a chance too).. The box is heavy and it's loaded!! drooling (cool14) |

I do too.. As I evolve I have come to be a lot more interested in the fossils. Sure can see why they own your heart.
Back from Montana ? Nice in Colorado and know that the warm summer will give way to winter a little further north.
Still full of tourist here but with schools ready to start a lot less of the tourists. Going to be really nice after Labor day. Big smile !1
You didn't spend as much time up north as I hoped you would.
