Hey guys! I've been away from the forum for the last few weeks. Guess what? I BOUGHT A ROCK SAW!! I'm still ridiculously excited about it.

It was quite a bit of work to get it set up. We ended up repairing our old carport, then putting in a subfloor to put the saw on top of.
It's a 16 inch saw. Her name is Big Vera and right now she's my favorite thing in the world (besides Manthing).

This weekend I'm cutting some larsonite (ellipso variety), AKA Gary Green Jasper.
This is fast becoming my favorite stuff, it is so gorgeous.
It looks like storm clouds on the ocean. It also reminds me of a lot of Japanese Art.

Last slice for today. I'm not sure if all the ellipses are just played out or if I need to orient the chunk differently. I've taken it out of the saw for the time being so I can think about it a bit more.
