Left....looks like Owhyee Gem, I love that stuff! Goodday orrum, yes that Owhyee stone is really nice been looking at thag one for some time now, I know it's 1 of your favourite stone, I was wondering if what you said Owhyee Gem, does that refer to the quality or the name? Upon sorting my materials I have come across at least 4 maybe 5 different Owhyee jaspers, all of it old stock Owhyee is a great material to work with and just to look at.

When I sit down and let it happen that's when they come out for me. I need to clear my mind and have some peace and quite, clearing my mind is the easy part.

I like your wraps. I couldn't hack it. Or rather, I hacked it up real good. Sticking with tumbling for dummies.

I remember a thread of yours or a post about your first attempts, I say don't give it up keep trying I have only wrapped a few stones, I started off with sterling silver wire, just to force my self to do a good job.watched lots of videos and looked at tons of material, the bails make me nervous, and as far as dummies I'm not much smarter the a box of rocks, and I got it. So I encourage you to give it another go. Tips and pointers from some of the members helped alot, I'm sure you still have some wire around,so get on it garage rocker.even just st th a 2 strand wrapp may make it a little easier, how long did it take to get your tumbling to a point you liked it?

I must have bought disobedient wire. I did the requisite studying and watching of videos. Even got some coaching from Tela, plus her tutorial. Then, at game time, when the lights came on, I fumbled. Granted, it may be a tall ask to be producing works of art by my sixth wrap, but I just got a feel for it. And it wasn't a good feel. I did get the satisfaction of ripping the last one apart. Small consolation for a wasted hour or so. Maybe I'm just too jacked up right now, with work and kids and tending the zoo at the house and all. You mentioned clearing the mind, finding peace and working from there. Tela says the same thing in her tute. I'll chalk it up to my frenetic pace and racing mind.
I won't say never, but maybe down the road. Hopefully my hands will shrink a little in that time also.

8 months ago I only thought of tumbling my first batch of stones never made it that far.8 months later slabbing, cabbing, and wrapping. Never thought I would make it this far, owe a lot of it to the RTH, that being said Thanks everyone.
