Howdy folks,
Last week I just missed the close of an E-Bay auction for some of Shain's Owyhee Antelope Jasper. I've been tumbling some of this lately and really love it. It takes one of the nicest polishes of any of the picture jaspers in aluminum oxide. Anyway, since I managed to miss the auction by about 20 minutes, I contacted Shain and he agreed to ship me a flat rater of this fine material at a very reasonable price indeed. Got it as quick as lightning and man oh man is it beautiful material. And he even included a magnificent slab as a bonus gift. I gotta tell you I see a couple of fine 30 x 40's lurking in that piece. Anyway, just wanted to publicly thank Shain for being such a nice fellow and tell the rest of you that if you want some fine tumbling material in beautiful reds, golds and pinks, give our member Shain (freeform) a PM and get you some this fine jasper......mel

Hey Mel - How can ya talk about how nice it is, and not show us? That's cruel, man.

Ok Rich *S* Here ya go, a pic of some of the larger hunks from the lot. Interesting material because it shows much different patterns when broken or cut in different directions. A couple of these pieces, the fine banded ones, even remind me of a rare Nevada material called Howardite....mel

Thanks, Mel. Very nice stuff, especially the two striated pieces just right of center.
