fernwood, snuffy, napoleonrags, I managed to cram several extra rocks in each of your boxes. I'll be taking them to the post office soon.

Rob, I respect your ads. Total brutal honesty in your listings. Anybody offering rejected stones honestly, and making sales(!!) has my respect!

Rob, I respect your ads. Total brutal honesty in your listings. Anybody offering rejected stones honestly, and making sales(!!) has my respect! I'd make a horrible salesman. I couldn't sell anything that I didn't honestly believe in. The only reason these are for sale is because when I posted a video of me picking (and rejecting) rocks, there seemed to be genuine interest in the rocks I was throwing back. I think I've found everyone who was interested at this point, so I'll haul back what I have left next time I go out. Back in the lake they go! That's good news for me, because my kayak should float a little higher. Last time out, the bow was dipping under water when I would paddle hard.

Throw unwanted rocks around school yards and other places that kids might find them. That's what I do with my tumbled rocks that don't make the grade. What I don't care to keep, someone may enjoy.

Can I throw them at kids I don't like? Do I have to go outside, or can I just use them in my classroom? I'm not great a great shot, so it might even encourage positive peer pressure from the students in the vicinity of misbehaving students. Thanks for the great idea!

Yeah, give them as rewards in your classroom. You are incorrect in thinking you would make a horrible salesman. Your characteristic of "selling what you believe in" makes you a terrific candidate already. If you decide to switch careers let me know. I'll help you make a bunch of money.

Can you point me to exactly where they reentered their natural environment? I've never worked with Petoskey but I recently came into possession of a handful of nice ones thanks to a generous soul - now they are my current obsession... last week it was oak root balls, this week it's Petoskey.

I could, but I don’t think they’d be worth the drive from California.
Work them on your wheels, don’t try to tumble them. They come out much nicer when done on a grinder, if you have trouble with flat spots, try them by hand with automotive wet/dry sand paper. Finish with Zam or aluminum oxide on denim.
