You're doing great! Looks like you learned several important techniques including cutting matched pairs, inside curves and freeform shapes. Keep it up.

Outstanding job on those! I especially like the fact that most are freeform and not calibrated shapes. The Rhyolite pair would make some snazzy dangle earrings!

I've never lived inside a box Guys why start now! Those are meant to be earrings radio an I enjoy free forms. gemfeller, bitterbrook I want to eventually be able to manipulate the stones into any shape I wish to form. It all starts with great instructors, inspiring friends and not putting limitations on yourself or your equipment. Good thing I have an unlimited supply of rocks!!!

Great job, Mel!!!!! Looks like you had a great teacher, too. I'm thinking you are a natural. Thank You I wish I was Tela but sadly, no. I struggle with every stroke it seems. The Cabochon is the heart and beginning of any piece of jewelry I'll create. The importance of them are special. I have plenty of slabs an in the next few weeks I'm going to focus on nothing but cabbing!!

Rhodo can be tricky since it is so soft. It is some of my favorite to cut. The shine on most of it is just incredible. For a soft stone, you just don't expect it.
